CASSPER Nyovest has collaborated with US hip hop artiste The Game for a song titled Cooking In Da Kitchen.

The song is featured on his forthcoming album, Refiloe, that is expected to be released on October 31, a historic day for the artiste as he will also hold the first ever #FillUpTheDome concert to promote South African music. The album also features collaborations with Black Motion, Mahotella

Queens, Stonebwoy, DJ Drama and the real Doc Shebeleza.

Thousands of fans are set to receive copies of Refiloe for free at the concert.

Meanwhile, the Gusheshe hit-maker’s dream of filling up one of South Africa’s biggest venues, the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg, is finally coming to life.

When he started talking about wishing to have the venue, which can carry about 20,000, filled to capacity, a lot of people thought he was out of his mind.

With just two weeks to go, about 16,000 tickets have been sold and among the ticket buyers are renowned celebrities like DJ Zinhle, Mbali Mlotshwa and South African Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula, reports Sowetan.

At a press conference held earlier this week in South Africa, Cassper said only 4,000 general tickets were left with golden circle tickets sold out.

Although that might seem to be a lot of money in his pockets, the 24-year-old says he is actually losing money. Booking the venue cost him R4,2million while tickets sales will only make him just over R3 million. He is sitting with a shortfall of just under a million rand.

“I’m not making any money from #FillUpTheDome, I’m losing money from The Dome but for me it’s ‘how many kids am I going to inspire?’

There’re people who inspired me like Kanye West, HHP, as they made sacrifices for their own lives and their story has inspired me to make something of myself,” he told journalists, urging other artistes to look at ways to inspire people.

Although there will be other acts supporting him on October 31 such as Riky Rick, Black Motion and Black Coffee, Cassper has made it clear that the event is about him.

He said Fill Up The Dome was a stepping stone to a more bigger dream that he and his friends Riky Rick and Major League DJz want to realise.

“Going forth, I’m pulling out of shows that I was booked for, I don’t want to perform at festivals where there’s 15 DJs anymore and I’m losing revenue. We’re starting up our own tours for next year where we’re gonna take the experience of Fill Up The Dome to different parts of the country.

“You know there’s kids in QwaQwa who’ll never see a production like this because they can’t come to The Dome but we want to take it to the people and that’s the next step. We’ll also be moving more into the international space.”
