ticket to go and watch the African Cup of Nations finals next year.
The campaign is part of the build-up to the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa with all 16 Premiership teams set to take part in a move aimed at bringing out best values in supporting one’s club.
Castle Lager are looking for SuperFans who will represent not only the PSL, but the entire nation, if Zimbabwe do qualify for the event.
The screening process for recruitment will take place at various stadiums during each of the 16 PSL teams’ home matches and the dates will be given during the course of the season.
For one to stand a chance, supporters will need to showcase their passion and enthusiasm for their chosen club.
The search for the SuperFans will commence before the match at the stadium and the judges will be looking at such things like dressing up in their best regalia and auditioning at the SuperFans event at the Castle Corner set up at each stadium for the home team.
“Castle Lager will work with the PSL to identify five known supporters from each club with a passion for their team who are able to transform that same passion to national team and unifier with good personality.
“The SuperFan promotion respects the existing supporters’ associations and are not in any way competing with them.
“Club supporters are welcome to nominate candidates and individuals can also register themselves.
“Final screening will also involve the public through sms.
“In the end two winning SuperFans go to 2013 Afcon finals in South Africa but that is if Zimbabwe qualify and we might add more,” said Delta Beverage’s official Patricia Murambinda.
The winners will be those deemed the most dedicated and committed supporters for their respective clubs.
