CBL pool tourneys roar into life

THE annual Carling Black Label National Pool Competitions roars into life starting tomorrow (Saturday), marking the beginning of two months of stiff competition on the pool tables. The regional competitions start in Bindura tomorrow (Saturday) and will be held in major towns and cities across the country including Mutare on September 27.

CBL National Pool Championship has so far been the largest pool tournament.
Over 1 300 pool players will participate in the regional and national competitions this year, an increase of about 300 players compared to last year.
The last national finals were held successfully in Zvishavane and this year the event will be held in Bulawayo on November 7.

In a statement, organisers of the competitions hailed Delta Beverages for their contribution towards the development of pool in Zimbabwe.
“For one to qualify they have to purchase five units of Carling Black Label from the either the 375ml pack or 750ml pack or 330ml and 440ml cans, attach five crowns or five red ring pulls to the entry form and they stand a stand a chance of being drawn to play in the competitions.

The regional competitions will be held in different areas across the country.
“Delta Beverages, through its Carling Black Label brand has contributed tremendously to the development of pool in Zimbabwe.
We have players who have benefited immensely from this marriage with pool tournaments proudly sponsored by CBL.
