UNITY has paid off for the popular gospel outfit, CCAP Voice of Sakubva, who finally buried the hatchet after years of fighting and recently unleashed an eight-track scorcher that features dendera giant Sulumani Chimbetu. The album, Riripo Tsime, is a mixed bag of soulful praise and worship gems. Dendera heir Sulumani adds flavour to the album when he features on the song Mundinzvengesewo.
Former Warriors player Lazarus “Mali” Muhoni also features on all songs.
But it is the presence of session musicians, mostly from BV Labien, Jack Ndina and John Marrabu, that makes the project a special one. Ndina and Marrabu are renowned instrumentalists and they play bass and lead guitars respectively.
The reunion comes as good news to CCAP fans who waited for such a long time for a comeback album from the intact group that rocked the airwaves more than a decade ago.
