THE senator for Beitbridge constituency, Cde Tambudzani Mohadi, has donated food hampers to 20 elderly women in the district as part of her annual charity programme.
Cde Mohadi said the beneficiaries were senior citizens above 65 years.
“As we celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays we need to remember the senior citizens who always give us guidance in our programmes throughout the year.
“This is an annual programme where I remember the eldest members of our community. I’m working on increasing the number of beneficiaries”, she said.
The food hampers comprised sugar, rice, cooking oil, flour, tea leaves, salt, laundry and bath soap.
She called on other community leaders to always remember to give back to the most vulnerable members of the community.
