Celestial Chorus’ hit worship song Ndotondera Kalvari, featuring Sharon Manyonganise Cherayi and the group’s executive director, Everton Mlalazi, has surpassed one million views on YouTube, reaching the milestone just four months after its release.
The achievement comes as Mlalazi has confirmed that Celestial Chorus Volume 3 is nearing release after the completion of the mixing and mastering process.
Ndotondera Kalvari, loosely translated as I Remember Calvary, is one of the standout tracks on the forthcoming album. The worship anthem carries a heartfelt message of surrender, trust and gratitude for Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, reminding believers of God’s unfailing love and the redemption found through Him.
Taking to Facebook to celebrate the milestone, Mlalazi thanked supporters for embracing the song.
“Ndotondera Kalvari has officially surpassed one million YouTube views. Every view, like, comment and share has been a testament to God’s faithfulness and your unwavering support. Thank you for walking this journey with us. Here’s to many more lives being touched through worship,” he said.
Meanwhile, Cherayi revealed that the song’s powerful closing segment, widely praised by gospel music lovers, was never rehearsed, describing it as a divine moment that unfolded naturally during the live recording.
She said the Holy Spirit took over during the performance, resulting in what has become one of the song’s most memorable moments.
“Many of you may find this hard to believe, but Minister Everton Mlalazi and I did not have a single rehearsal for the final part of the song. Divine providence often perfects things in its own unique way,” said Cherayi.
The testimony has further endeared the song to fans, many of whom have described its emotional ending as a moving expression of worship that continues to resonate with listeners.
