IN-FORM Ngezi Platinum Stars left winger Talent Chamboko is looking forward to continuing with his fine form when they meet Dynamos in the Chibuku Super Cup final at Rufaro on Saturday.
Chamboko, who opened the scoring in his side’s last game of the season against CAPS United, is confident that they will carry their form into the final.
The former ZPC Kariba and Manica Diamonds player has been in fine form after he found the back of the net against Dynamos, Chicken Inn, Simba Bhora, and CAPS United.
“I am happy that I managed to score some crucial goals this past season most of them against big clubs.
“I am happy that I managed to score the opening goal on the last day of the Castle Lager Premier League match against CAPS United at Rufaro on Sunday.
“Scoring in the opening 10 minutes gave the team some confidence and we went on to win the match convincingly.
“The goal is an indication that we have a competitive side that can match any team,” said Chamboko.
The 34-year-old believes they have what it takes to win the Chibuku Super Cup against Dynamos on Saturday and book a place in Africa once again.
“We are now focusing on the next assignment against Dynamos in the Chibuku Super Cup. We are going to take the game seriously and we need a win so that we participate in the African Safari again next year.
“We have been Dynamos’ bogey side this season but, that will not make us relax as a final is a different match day game altogether.
“We will not take them for granted saying we won against them in the league but, to take the game as a completely new game. Everyone is looking forward to the final and the boys are working hard to see that we win. It is everyone’s wish to return to Africa and we will do our best to see that,” said Chamboko.
