Channel 2: A station of choice!

often screens this show had a special titled “Capital Punishment”.
I know there are some who enjoy watching this programme and that is cool, but the problem is like all its instalments such as “Wrestlemania”, “Tables and Ladders” matches or “Extreme Rules” the show is just too predictable.

Although we now have new faces the script hasn’t changed since I was in my teens.
Almost always, bad things happen to good guys, and in the end, it’s the bad guys who win. I know etv Africa screens current wrestling matches while ZBCTV screens the same shows rather a programme behind or delayed.
However, most people still follow the matches regardless of whether they are current or delayed. I have actually seen some people buying DVDs of yesteryear title matches, which they watch over and over again.

Channel 2
The station has plenty of good programmes although not many people know exactly how to access the station.
So for the past week or so, Channel 2 has been advertising on radio how people can tune in the station. Dorothy Chidzawo, who is in charge of the station, has through this column given the tips on how they can view the station.

Below are the tips:
“For now the channel can be received in an 80km radius outside of Harare. ZBC Channel 2 operates on VHF (very high frequency) band 3 at 199.25 megahertz.
“Viewers can use the manual or auto search methods to receive Channel 2. For the automatic search method go on main menu on your TV set. Select auto search and press OK.

The television set will automatically search and store all the available channels. When the search methods are complete select your channels for viewing using the programme + or – button.
“For further technical information contact the Channel 2 direct number on 04 498 669.”
I do hope these tips will help those who want to watch Channel 2.

Movie of the Week
Africa Magic Plus on DStv’s Channel 115 is becoming one of my favourites these days. For the past two weekends I have enjoyed the black Christian movies which provide for wholesome quality films.
The movies are about community issues with redeeming and strong moral endings.
The movies are full of drama and entertaining stories that focus on positive imaging for the community.
So on Sunday they screened a film called Pastor Jones 2: Lord Guide My 16 -Year-Old Daughter.

The film stars Eurika Pratts as Noelle, Shamika Ann Franklin as Marion, Kevin Linell as James, Brandy M Alexis as Shay, Jean-Claude La Marre as Grandpa/ Pastor Jones, Kim Stinger as Cassandra, Alonzo Ali as Nathan Green and Lindsey McDonald as Liz.
The film had an extremely good message for teenage girls and I liked everything about the movie since I have watched the first Pastor Jones series. Although it was a low-budget film, the storyline and the young actors impressed me.
The message was about how to differentiate a sinner and righteous person. You can watch these films and learn a thing or two about faith.

Email of the Week
Dear Jonathan,
I want to agree with the comments of Jay about the behaviour of Tracy Sibanda and Alice Makaya. I agree with her that Tracy is too full of herself, she is over- zealous and thinks her English is so good and perfect. Her voice is irritating and squeaky.
Her accent leaves a lot to be desired and in so doing she reads and fails to pronounce words properly, she is too fast and cuts words.
Honestly we have better news presenters than her.

Yours truly
