UPCOMING dancehall artist, Tinaishe “Boss Tynah” Matambo, has denounced the use of vulgar language in music.

The Midlands State University student said offensive language in music should not be tolerated at any time.

“Music targets all ages and the use of vulgar work shows lack of integrity, and self-respect, it must be dealt with as it is on the rise.

“Artists should be taught the effects of using offensive language as children find it easier to capture those words because they are continuously used in music,” he said.

Tinaishe urged the Government to come up with measures which will give checks and balances to music content.

“It will be good for the Government to strictly ensure that the Censorship and Entertainment Control Act is being adhered to so as to reduce the consumption of obscene music”, he added.

Tinaishe started his career in 2015.

He has released more than 20 single tracks, which include Pfuma Yemashoko, Rest in Peace, Moyo Wakaoma and Zvigunwe, which is trending well.

The singer said the track Zvigunwe urges people to work hard.

“The issue of dealerships in toes by people to sustain their lives aroused my interest to sing the song, just to give them advice that wealth gained quickly, and dubiously, will dwindle.”
