Charamba to release new album next year

working on the material for the album, a musical project that is expected to further strengthen his grip as one of the best gospel artistes the country has had in recent years.

“I will be releasing another album, next year, but it is too early to talk about dates,” he said.
It, however, appears that Pastor Charamba is in no hurry to add another musical project to his wide discography that continues to enjoy rave reviews, although it has been on the market for some time.

His last offering “Pashoko Pangoma” is one his best albums that is rich in emphatic beat and inspiring lyrics, from which the hit song “Nyika Zimbabwe” is taken from. The song which can best be described as an intercession prayer has found favour with both Christians and secular fans, because of its bold message on the need for God to bless Zimbabwe.

“Regera Kundisiya”, “Ndakaurayisa Jesu” and “Jehovha Ndiye” are some of the inspiring and danceable songs taken from the same album.

Pastor Charamba has won many awards in recognition of his sterling performance in the arts sector in Zimbabwe. His popularity started growing with his chart-busting albums like “Exodus”, and “Sunday Service” from which came hits like “Mhinduro Iripo” and “Musoro”.

He has also worked on a number of musical projects with his wife, Olivia, who is also a composer and a musician in her own right.

The celebrity gospel couple will round off their entertainment calendar for this year with a number of shows that will take them across the country, beginning next week.

They will begin their high-octane schedule with a show in Mutare on December 26 , before holding another show in Kwekwe on December.

Their massive gig for their fans in Matabeleland would be on December 30 at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre before heading back to Harare for their traditional annual show at the Aquatic Complex in Chitungwiza on January 1 2013.
