Charambas line up Easter show

It really doesn’t matter whether you worship at this or that church, the Charambas will make your Easter Saturday a memorable one when they perform their first gig in the lush green turf on April 7.
To help spice up the day, also on the bill is Jane Doka, the United Kingdom-based songstress who has been touted as the freshest voice in the Diaspora.
Currently on a three-week break, Doka will be sharing the stage with the gospel luminaries for the first time since her breakthrough into music.
Pastor Charamba has with his debut album invaded every home, pub and dancehall leaving an impact that cannot be ignored.
He has cut across the age barrier — from teenager, mother and father to grandmother, his music is enjoyed by literally all who appreciate music.
Since he started out his career in music in 1997 with “Tinashe Akatendeka”, Pastor Charamba  has been consistently churning out songs some plucked out of verses and chapters from the Bible while others were influenced by his surroundings.
When you talk about his song called “Nyika YeZimbabwe”, which was voted the Best Song for 2011 at the National Arts Merit Awards, you realise that it is a prayer for the nation.
Pastor Charamba is on record as saying the “sheer beauty of the country and its abundant resources” inspired the song.
But there seems to be one nagging question among fans that who is better between the two Pastor Charamba or Mai Charamba.
But those in the know would tell you that the two inspire each other although Mai Charamba confessed in the Press that her husband is the backbone of her music.
One thing about their combination on stage is                        that there are no glitches from start to finish. Even    when they perform different sets you cannot really tell who is leading the set as they blend perfectly during performances.
Mai Charamba is known for her emotional performances such that some people even joked about her when she appeared in the video of the song  “Musimboti” off the album “Daily Dread” that she looked hungry.
Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza, the promoter of the concert, urged fans to make a date with the Charambas on their musical excursion this Easter holidays.
