The Charambas delighted revellers with their soothing gospel songs while Suluman and Orchestra Dendera Kings did justice to the audience by playing all their hit songs.
They looked awesome in their colourful attire while the choreography was flawless. One good thing was that Suluman is growing his fan base including those from areas like Hwange, where he rarely performs.
However, Makomo’s second anniversary celebrations gave them an opportunity to reach out to their fans in Hwange and Victoria Falls.
Utakataka Express, fronted by Peter “Young Igwee” Moyo, were also at their best. Like Suluman, Peter’s fan base is growing with each outing.
“We had a great time in Hwange and we appreciate the support we are getting from the people. It was amazing,” Peter said.
Eusabia Rayire of Eumo Promotions, who organised the gig, said she was happy it was a success.
“It was a celebration of our second anniversary with people from the community after a special grant for the operations was signed on October 6, 2010,” she said.
