Gospel musician Charles Charamba announced that he is set to break the four year silence with a new album that will be released in a “few months” time. Charamba who last released “Pashoko Pangoma” in 2010 made the announcement at a charity show held in the capital over the weekend.  “The album is coming in few months and I know people are waiting,” Charamba said.
The musician could not tell the exact date of the release of his album.

“I can’t tell the date as of now but what I can tell you is we are done and it is coming in few months,” he said.
“This is definite new project is coming in few months time,” he emphasised.

Charamba said they were still consulting stakeholders on the date and month of the release.
“Yes we are the face of the band but we have a number of people who love our music and there is need for us to consult them,” he said.
Recently the musician said they were advised by their fans to give the album as a surprise.

The “Nyika Zimbabwe” song maker said on the album he will be featuring his wife Olivia in a song.
“We have been employing each other as backing vocalists but now we are taking this as an opportunity to have a collaboration,” he said.
Since the gospel musician launched his career in the early 90s he has not yet done any collaboration with any other artiste.

Last year the musician hint on a duet with Zex Manatsa but to date no further talk on the suggested partnership has emerged.
“It is not because we don’t have good artistes to merge with but I just did it deliberately,” he said.
He says he wanted to have collaboration with his wife Olivia first before anything else.

“The song which we are going to do now will open doors for collaborations with all other artists,” he said.
Charamba believes everything starts at home before spreading its wings to the public.
“We just took it the biblical way and when we release the song the doors are now open to us and all the artistse,” he said.

The couple has released popular albums like “Johanne 3:16”, “Vhuserere”, “Amen”, “Daily Bread”, “Exodus”, “Sunday Service” and “Verses and Chapters”.

They are both pastors with theological training, which enhances their understanding of the Scripture.
They have toured the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia and have shared the stage with the likes of Solly Mahlangu, Sipho Makhabane, and Ron Kenolly, among others.

Big name musicians like Alick Macheso, Oliver Mtukudzi and Blessing Shumba have promised their fans albums that are still to come out well after the announced release dates.
