A local church leader, Donald Chikasha, handed over groceries to 30 children living with disabilities in Mbare on Unity Day.

One former beneficiary, Sharon Chibanda, (16) donated a wheelchair.

“We want to thank parents and guardians taking children living with disabilities for physical exercises as advised by health officials,” said Chikasha.

“It is pleasing to see children like Sharon who see themselves in a better condition to help others. “She received a wheelchair suitable for her improved condition and saw the need to help those yet to receive one,” he said.

A Zimbabwean woman, Yvonne Chikasha, who is based in Canada, and another local volunteer donated the food hampers.
