Chegutu East coach Menard Mairos was happy with his team’s performance despite the loss and is looking forward to building a competitive side from his constituency.
“It was a good game but unfortunately we did not play full time and it became hard for us to rectify our mistakes in the second half,” said Mairos.
“We are expecting to have a team from our constituency and we are very grateful because Minister Shamu is helping us establish our side.
“We want to start in Division Two but currently there is no such division in our province and we are working hard to establish one so that we can nurture talent from our area.
“There is still a lot of work to be done and we are just praying that it will all go according to plan. There is a lot of talent in our province but poor structures are making it hard for the youngsters to expose themselves.
“Recently we won the Seven Heroes trophy, which was hosted in Chinhoyi and the future looks very bright for our constituency,” added Mairos.
