Chegutu man arrested for cable theft

THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Chegutu have arrested Tichaona Dube (34) for possessing stolen copper cables.
The arrest occurred at Lambourne Farm on 21 February 2025 at approximately 3 AM.
“The suspect, who was with his accomplice, only known as Isaya Tembo, was seen by farm security guards while burning the cables near Harare-Bulawayo Road”, said the ZRP on a statement on X.
Recovered from the scene were 20 meters of ZESA armoured copper cables and three pieces of folded copper geyser pipes.
