FOREST Rangers striker, Thomas Chideu, scored from the centre line to power his side to a 1-0 win against Power Dynamos at the weekend.
Chideu’s side have now collected six points, from two fixtures, in a four-team pre-season tournament in the Zambian Premiership.
Prisons Leopards and Nchanga Rangers are the other teams in the tournament.
The Zambian Premiership is set to start on August 20.
Chideu scored seven goals last season despite spending the better part of the campaign nursing a shoulder injury.
The former Ajax Cape Town and Golden Arrows striker, said he could have scored the goal of his career, and insisted he was in a good space to make a mark in the league campaign.
“The goal was just something else. I think it’s a sign of mental preparedness.
“The confidence is back and I was happy to help my team maintain a 100 percent record in this tournament,” said Chideu.
“I’m now feeling fresh now, the shoulder injury disturbed me badly last season.
“We have a strong squad to challenge for honours, and there is more hunger and determination in camp, and I’m looking forward to a fruitful season,” he said.
