ALL we want is a tarred Bulawayo-Nkayi Road and everything else is secondary, Nkayi Chief Dakamela has said.
Chief Dakamela said although the district was making developments in other sectors, their primary goal was the Bulawayo-Nkayi Road.

“There are a number of projects that we want done, for example, we want irrigation systems, and solar-powered boreholes. We also want to improve our schools and rehabilitate our dams.

“But then the project that we are looking for, the one that the entire Nkayi is looking up to is the Bulawayo-Nkayi Road and everything else is secondary. Everything else can come secondary, our primary expectation is that road,” said the Chief.

He said the road has stalled development in the district, adding that a number of cars were being damaged by the road which was in a sorry state.

The Bulawayo-Nkayi Road is viewed as an economic enabler and connects Bubi, Nkayi, and Kwekwe districts.
