CHIEF Justice, Honourable Elizabeth Chiedza Gwaunza this morning launched Phase 4.3 of the Integrated Electronic Case Management System (IECMS) for Manicaland and Mashonaland East provinces at the Mutare Magistrates’ Court.
The rollout extends electronic filing, case tracking and online access to court records to litigants, legal practitioners and magistrates in the two provinces, marking a major step in the judiciary’s drive to digitise processes and reduce case backlogs.
“Today we take another deliberate step toward a paperless, efficient, and transparent justice delivery system. Phase 4.3 will cut down unnecessary delays, improve accountability, and bring our courts closer to the people of Manicaland and Mashonaland East,” said Chief Justice Gwaunza.
Magistrates, prosecutors and police attended the launch.
The new system will ease docket management, reduce adjournments from missing files and improve scheduling, supporting timely justice delivery nationwide.
