ZIMBABWEAN professional golfer Robson Chinhoi finally remembered how to win when he captured the Open de Golf de Moanda in Gabon at the weekend.

The Mutare-born and bred golfer managed to score an impressive 19-under par after the four rounds to beat his fellow countryman Visitor Mapwanya to second place.

Chinhoi, who is not new to winning, managed to win the tournament with 14 shots clear as Mapwanya finished on five-under-par.

The tournament was held at Manga Golf Club in Moanda.

Meanwhile back home, Vincent Chidambazina made history by winning the inaugural PaRuwa Open at Ruwa Country Club in Ruwa.

Chidambizana managed to card seven-over-par to win the tournament ahead of Blessing Gondo who was a shot behind at eight-over-par.

Going into the final round Chidambizana was trailing Gondo and Kelvin Muchenje who went on to finish third.

Vincent’s controlled final round leapfrogging the pair to take the inaugural win and said he is happy with the win. “I am happy that I managed to win one of the major national events and I look forward to continue working hard. Getting into the final round I just kept my composure and took every shot as it comes and it helped me.

“Going into the round I was trailing but I managed to turn around the tables and won the tournament,” said Chidambizana.
