Paul Pindani in CHINHOYI
A DARK cloud has engulfed the Chinhoyi University of Technology after the institution lost its Deputy Registrar, Academics, Dr Hamudiwamwe Mandibaya.
She had been on a life support system for the past 11 days, following a medical procedure at the Avenues in Harare.
She died on Saturday night.
Dr Mandibaya joined CUT as an Administrative Assistant in the School of Engineering Sciences and Technology on December 9, 2004.
She was promoted to Assistant Registrar Human Resources in April 2005.
She was then promoted to the post of Examinations Officer on September 1, 2013.
Dr Mandibaya was promoted to the post of Deputy Registrar Academics on May 29, 2019.
In 2022, Dr Mandibaya graduated with a Doctorate in Business Administration from Binary University of Entrepreneurship and Management in Malaysia.
She was born on December 11, 1967.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Simbisai Dongo, and two grandchildren.
