THE leisure centre that has hosted tens of artistes will on Tuesday, which is Independence Day, bring one of Zimbabwe’s most talented artistes, Progress Chipfumo and The Sounds of the Motherland.
Deejays Candyman and Spice will support the dreadlocked artiste on the turntables.
Chipfumo is popular for sing-along tracks such as ‘Havarore’, ‘Vanochema’, ‘Mangerengere’, ‘Usatamba Nemoto’, ‘Papi zvapo’ and ‘Tsiurika’.
His most popular song, however, is ‘Kuraper Mwana’.
The organisers say the event starts at 8pm while admission fee is $US5.
Revelers will be treated to some traditional foods, braai and ice cold booze.

A week-long entertainment itinerary which includes MaRasta Wednesday, Ladies and Karaoke Thursday, Old Skool Fridays and New Skool Saturdays roars to life.
Selected local deejays will entertain patrons on the eve of Independence Day and on Independence Day after jazz sensation Steve Chikotie’s usual Sunday’s jazz night.
