TALENTED guitarist Progress “Proggy” Chipfumo and his Sounds of the Motherland will tomorrow night perform at the recently opened Club Joy Centre in Glen Norah as the crooner makes efforts to reconnect with his Harare fans. Show organiser and club owner David Mudzudzu said Chipfumo’s presence was as a result of public demand after his performance at the official opening of the club in June.

“Progress, who was the main act of that day managed to give fans their money’s worth and they were left asking for more that’s why we have decided to organise this show again”.

Chipfumo is expected to serenade fans with several of his hits which include “Wakanganwa”, “Nhaka”, “Papi Zvapo”, “Garwe” and “Mudapakati”.
Chipfumo has steadily risen to become a force to reckon with in the music industry. Over the years, he has not only built but also sustained his own band that he nurtured and developed.

He is also one of the few artistes with a committed youthful group, which if well looked after, is poised to succeed in the arts industry.

Chipfumo’s music is mature, full or meaningful lyrics and is well arranged which highlights societal ills, and the trials and tribulations that people go through on a daily basis.

Chipfumo has shared the stage with music legends the likes of Oliver Mutukudzi, Alick Macheso and Suluman Chimbetu among others.
This show is expected to be a full house.

“We are expecting multitudes of revellers to pull through on Friday and to the people of Glen Norah im sure it will be a show not to miss” said Madzudzu.

In recent days, Club Joy Centre has stolen the hearts of many as it has been going after big musicians much to the delight of its regular fans.
