Dubbed the Freedom Youth Gala, the event is part of an HIV and Aids awareness campaign that is being spearheaded by a group of youths from Chiredzi.
Penned in to headline the gala are King Shaddy and Stunner supported by several other local artistes.
In an interview organisers of the event, The Swagg Team, said they had seen it fit to engage their peers on such a platform so that everyone participates in the awareness campaign.
“What has been happening in Harare and other bigger cities in as far as HIV and Aids awareness campaigns has not happened in Chiredzi.
“For that reason we have set out to support the initiative that the whole nation has been embraced, through at different levels,” said Kenneth Dzingai aka Lazzer.
Another member of the Swagg Team Lenient Moyo aka Lee Flavour implored the youths to come and participate in the event.
“Youths of Chiredzi should come in their numbers as the whole idea would be dedicated to learning and having fun.
Juggler and Lika who are both brothers to Kalabash of the Cooligan and Kalabash fame, Slatj Saints a dance group from Chiredzi, Ras Pitty and Hubber from Kwekwe are some of the artists that are expected to illuminate the event.
