Speaking at the event, the marketing director for Chloride Zimbabwe, Mr Edward Muchuchuti said the programme was a realisation that every organisation does not operate in a vacuum, but in the community.
“It is out of this background that the organisation and its partners have launched this programme to ensure that the society in which it operates appreciates that the company is sensitive of the need to co-exist as a good corporate citizen,” he said.
Mr Muchuchuti said the clean up campaign was a way of ploughing back to the community in which the company is operating.
“Indeed, it is the society that shapes the image and future of the organisation and there is need for organisations to be attentive to their business and operations.” Mr Muchuchuti said the clean up campaign was an ongoing process to make the environment safe and clean. He said Chloride Zimbabwe continued to take cognisance of the need to come up with programmes that reverse the negative impact on the ozone
