CHRISTIAN Eriksen is reportedly set to move to Wolfsburg following his release from Manchester United.
The Danish midfielder was let go by United in the summer upon the expiration of his contract, and there were reports earlier in the window that he had turned down a bold approach from Championship side Wrexham.

Now, the former Spurs and Brentford man will make the switch to Germany, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Danish journalist Farzam Abolhosseini reported that Peter Christiansen, Wolfsburg’s managing director, had played a key role in luring his compatriot to the Bundesliga.
Eriksen featured 35 times in all competitions for United last term, but his playing time was hampered when Ruben Amorim took over thereins from Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
The 33-year-old was an unused substitute in United’s twoEuropa League semi-final legs against Athletic Bilbao, as well as the final defeat by Tottenham at the San Mames.
The Danish international, a free agent since leaving United in June, has flown from Odense to Germany to finalise the deal, and in doing so, he is set to follow his former Tottenham team-mate Harry Kane to the Bundesliga.
According to Tipsbladet, Eriksen has already agreed terms, with only a medical and the signing of his contract left before Wolfsburg officially confirm the move.

The 33-year-old, who previously starred for Tottenham and Inter, had been heavily linked with Bayer Leverkusen, especially following the arrival of Kasper Hjulmand, his former Denmark coach.
However, Wolfsburg moved swiftly to secure his signature, convincing the country’s most-capped player to make the Bundesliga his next challenge.
For Eriksen, this move represents a fresh chapter, from hisnear-fatal cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 to his inspirational return at Brentford and United, the playmaker has consistently defied the odds. Joining Wolfsburgmarks his first-ever spell in
German football, a league renowned for its tactical intensity and physical demands. —thestandard.co.uk
