Church Hands over US$200k Classroom Block To Kadoma School

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has handed over a US$200 000 ECD classroom block to Kuredza Government Technical Primary School, at a ceremony graced by the Minister of Primary School and Secondary Education, Hon Dr Torerai Moyo in Kadoma recently.

Accepting the donation on behalf of the government , Education Minister Hon Dr Moyo thanked the church for their sterling and philanthropic deeds in complementing government efforts in the provision of access to education.

“I would like to thank te Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints for the sterling deeds in complementing government efforts in the provision of education through constructing of an ECD classroom block which comes with an ablution facilities ,I also would like to remind the church that investing in education is not vain rather is an investment in tomorrow because we pass on our culture, values and norms through education ,I am glad to note that churches have been instrumental in education since time immemorial and am happy that up to this time the churches are still instrumental as today we have this testimony and I would like to commend Kuredza Primary School community for their cordial relationship with the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saint resulting in the construction of this ECD classroom block!” said Hon Dr Torerai Moyo, Education Minister

The Kuredza Government Technical Primary School ceremony also saw the commissioning of three Specialist classrooms, a Visual and Performing Arts room , a Wood Technology room and a Home Technology room and a Kuredza School Field Day and Award ceremony which saw the school scooping the MashWest Province first prize in Commercial Ventures in the Primary School category.

Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saint , Zimbabwe Humanitarian Manager ,Tatenda Chiore said that in line with giving and caring for the community they saw it fit to donate an ECD classroom block to Kuredza Technical Primary School.

“As a church the church saw it fit to donate this ECD classroom block worth US$200 000 to Kuredza Primary School !” said Tatenda Chiore.

Kuredza Technical Primary School Head, Anthony Mapindani thanked the church for the gesture.

The school has an enrollment of 1113 children
