Church leader conferred with doctorate

Apostle Benjamin Murata, (56) of New Life Pentecostal Church, was capped by JIAZO Bible College University of Zambia Vice Chancellor Professor Joseph Mulonga.

An author of three books, The Promise of a New Life (2016), Unmasking the Deceptive Gospel in Zimbabwe (2017) and Spiritual Approach in Leading the Church in 2018, Apostle Murata’s recognition was for his impact in community development in various parts of the country.

“He has proved that he has vast wealth of knowledge, skills and experience in management and administration from a cross section of industries spanning from agriculture, insurance, manufacturing, construction and security services.

“He is the founder of Pure Gold Housing Trust whose mandate is the development of residential stands and availing of housing units for low-income earners in Zimbabwe,” said Prof Mulonga.

Another church leader, Reverend Lillian Tendere-Mudyanadzo (45), a former police-officer-turned-businesswoman, was also conferred with an honorary doctorate degree in Psychology.
