Circus Nightclub to host top hip-hop acts

as Tehn Diamond, Junior Brown, Tatea Da MC, Mairachi and MC Cut as well as Roki clash on stage.
The gig is part of Circus Nightclub’s move to promote local talent by bringing artistes to perform live on stage as happens in overseas nightclubs.
Topping the bill is the duo of Junior Brown and Tehn Diamond a.k.a. Student of the Game.

The two, including their producer-cum-DJ Take Fizzle, have been touring Zimbabwe connecting with their fans. The trio has an impressive catalogue already with popular hits such as “Happy” and “Madrinks” appearing on every DJ’s playlist.

Tehn Diamond, whose real name is Tendai Nguni, burst on the music scene with his project dubbed “Student of the Game” which was underground stuff, up until he joined forces with Junior Brown. The duo has hit the spotlight spawned by the singles “Happy” and “Madrinks” commercial success.

Tatea Da MC, who won at the hip-hop awards held last year, landed himself the title of the hottest MC around. Besides his laid-back style of rap, he is also a television presenter. His chart topper, “H-Town”, is a sure-fire hit with its sing-along mellow hooks.

D&L Entertainment, the organisers of the gig, have deliberately brought together artistes who are at the top of their game to ensure that fans have a great time.

Another talented rapper is Mairachi, who has been consistently churning out hit after hit though he is still to gain recognition in the sector.
According to Kudzai Matondo a.k.a. Dee Nosh of D&L Entertainment, the weekend gig is set to reaffirm the club’s commitment to promoting local talent.

“We just a had a successful show with Winky D and other club DJs and we are hoping that the stakes are high this time with Junior Brown, Tehn Diamond, Tatea Da MC and Roki.

“The reason for bringing these youngsters is because we believe in what they are doing and we want to support them to reach greater heights,” he said.
