HARARE City reclaimed top spot in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League after beating Cranborne Bullets while former leaders Black Rhinos were restricted to a goalless draw by CCLee Mhangura at the weekend.
The Sunshine Boys beat Cranborne Bullets 2-0, with new coach Ikabort Masocha recording his second win.
City are unbeaten in 13 games.
Newly-promoted Agama FC held fourth-placed Herentals Under-20 to a 1-1 draw at Pfura on Saturday.
Agama coach, Patson Muzavazi, said they are in the league to compete.
“I think we have started the campaign well and as this is our first time in Division One, we are very happy.
“We have a team of seasoned and young players who have been doing well since the start of the campaign as we have recorded only a single loss.
“The boys have managed to get results against some teams who are regarded as favourites and this is motivating us to do more.
“We have an idea of how to avoid fighting relegation in our first season and we are grateful to our sponsor Malvern Moyo who has been with us throughout.”
