CIWU, Mpopoma Pirates clash

Allen Khumalo, Sports Reporter
CIWU will take their relegation survival mission to Matshobana when they face Mpopoma Pirates in their Zifa Bulawayo province Division Two league clash today.

The bottom placed side has been finding life difficult in the league managing to grab only 17 points from 24 matches.

CIWU must play to win if they are to ease their relegation pressure following a 4-2 thumping against Chicken Inn last week.

They will, however, be hoping that Khami United and White Birds falter in order to land on the safer position on the table.

Another thriller match is expected at Pumula East Garage in a battle for the fifth position when Toronto hosts LG Vultures.

Vultures are on fifth position with 43 points while Toronto is on sixth with 42 points. Both teams will be fighting to earn maximum points in order to keep their title hopes alive.

Today’s fixtures:

LSU United vs Zim Leopards (Raylton), Chiwororo vs CS Distributors (Iminyela), Ajax Hotspurs vs Arenel Movers (Bango), Toronto vs LG Vultures (Pumula East Garage), How Mine vs Khami United (How Mine), White Birds vs Lobengula Stars (Marisha), CIWU vs Mpopoma Pirates (Matshobana), East Rovers vs Chicken Inn (Pumula East).
