Clergymen must embrace social Responsibility

that. Love has something to do with emotions and more in that beyond the emotions, love remains a commandment.
When Jesus was crucified, there was blood, nails, pain and death.
Thus the touchline of love must move to embrace the inconveniences of loving the human race.
In my travels around the world to places like the UK, Nigeria and South Africa, I have noticed a very disturbing pattern of behaviour in churches.
For the most part when the church leaders are challenged about it they get aggressive and unhelpful.
There is a failure to answer the basic question, why the church exists.
So what we now find is an incomplete message of prosperity.
We hear prosperity and no one asks for what and when they answer it is such a naïve and out of touch answer.
True, the answer to financial prosperity is giving and I believe it with all my heart. As people give they miraculously do well and the receiving church also does well through offerings, tithes and seed offerings, which I wholeheartedly believe in.
You cannot run an organisation without money, it is impossible, even a church. We need more money in churches.
So where is the problem?
In pursuit of financial resources which are very important to churches there is need for numbers. The more the people, the more the donors and the more the money coming in!
That is simple maths.
Every pastor knows this, they may not say it but its true.
Most crowds today however, come for miracles.
There are some things that have drawn thousands to gather — prophecy — your past or future foretold, miracles; sick people getting healed, wonders; supernatural happenings and encounters.
For the need of power to perform these miracles some pastors are doing all to be ahead of the pack. From seeking God’s face to seeking the devil’s face and stage managing miracles.
Meaning that not all miracles are clean.
It used to surprise me how I cast demons out of people from some Pentecostal churches.
Not every spirit that looks like the Holy Ghost is the holy spirit.
The whole miracles platform now needs a fine truth comb to discern.
Too much good, evil and scandal are taking place.
With all the miracles and all the numbers and all the money one thing lost is social responsibility.
Most pastors today have jets, Bentleys, Limousines, DB9 Aston Martins, Porsche Cayenes, but they haven’t built schools, hospitals, orphanages or rather pay school fees and students examination funds.
We now have a bandwagon and gravy train of senseless leaders with zero social responsibility and criticising government.
Today, Strive Masiyiwa looks after more orphans than all Zimbabwean churches do, put together.
Our ministry C.M.I UK has challenged all our leaders to spend 50 person of church income towards social responsibilities.
Not all congregations are there yet, but they have a time target to get there.
In Nigeria you can come out of a marble walled church with a parking lot full of expensive cars to find no road, but a trench gully-like road.
This is the type of ecclesiastical insanity Africa must reject and denounce.
It has no Christ like fruit and thus none of his. Jesus said you shall know them by their fruit.
When you lock up US$200 million in investments and park four private jets and you have not even one orphanage in a country ravaged with poverty and Aids, your fruit is bitter and ugly.
I would like to meet young men and young women, old men and old women willing to bring this new day of love and social responsibility while at same time anointed and gifted with a pure and awesome fire of God.
