Chimombe was not asked to plead to robbery charges when he appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Ms Barbara Chimboza.

They ordered the two not to raise alarm, led them into the bedroom before demanding cash.
The gang allegedly took US$20 000 from a safe before ransacking the house searching for valuables.
They took away various electrical gadgets before disappearing.
The gang allegedly broke into Peter William’s house along Campbell Road, Borrowdale.
They stole an Isuzu Cab, cash and other properties using the same method.
It is also alleged that they struck Campbell’s son on the head with an axe.
They proceeded to Pomona where they broke into Hammond Desfontame’s house and tied Desfontame and his wife with electrical cables.
They stole various gadgets, money and an Isuzu KB truck.
Chimombe was arrested on the same day after CID Chitungwiza used a tracker on the stolen Ipod.
