A woman from Bulawayo’s Matshobana suburb is in a mess after she fell in love with a neighbour while on separation with her husband.
Now she has sorted out her marital problems and back to their matrimonial home, but the lover will not let go.
The woman, Nomalanga Bhebhe, is pregnant and there is confusion on who is responsible, with the lover refusing to back off.
Dumisani Mlangeni is disturbing the couple’s peace as he goes by night to their home, knocking on windows and ordering the woman to terminate his pregnancy.
Bhebhe, realising that she might end up the biggest loser, sought for help from the courts by applying for a peace order against Mlangeni.
“Dumisani Mlangeni is my ex-boyfriend. He comes to my place of residence to insult and assault me for no apparent reason.
“He is forcing me to terminate my pregnancy claiming that I am carrying his child. He also knocks at my window making noise during the night, pretending to be a police officer and ordering my husband to come outside,” she said.
Bhebhe further clarified that she started dating Mlangeni when she was on separation with her husband and they reunited after resolving their issues, but he no longer wants to part ways with her.
In response, Mlangeni disputed the allegations saying: “She is not telling the truth. She introduced me to her parents and told me that I am responsible for her pregnancy and we are always communicating.
“I had to go with police to her place because she was threatening to dump the baby at my place,” he said.
The presiding magistrate Urgent Vundla granted an interim order and both parties are expected to stay away from each other.
