Cocaine peddler nabbed

A woman appeared in court yesterday charged with unlawfully dealing in dangerous drugs after she was allegedly caught at Pomona shops in Borrowdale with six sachets of cocaine worth $5 000.

Stella Shoshore (42) appeared before Harare magistrate Mrs Learnmore Mapiye.

The State, led by Ms Francisca Mukumbiri, opposed bail insisting Shoshore was facing a serious offence of dealing in dangerous drugs.

“. . . in the absence of special circumstances, she might be sentenced to 15 years in prison,” said Ms Mukumbiri.

The prosecutor further stated that the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence might lead her to abscond if granted bail.

“There is a likelihood that if she is tried, she might be convicted and given a custodial sentence.”

Shoshore was also reportedly dealing with minors in the cocaine business. — Herald Reporter.
