Collection of short films at Book Café

Invision Studios will tomorrow showcase some of latest series of short films dubbed “In short Season 3”at the Book Café. One of the event organisers —Blessing Chinanga — said that people should come in their numbers to watch the exciting collection.
“I am encouraging people to come in their numbers and enjoy the films which we will be screening free of charge.

“This time around people should be dressed in evening wear and let’s make the event memorable,” he said.

The four films to be premiered are “Letters” by Blessing Chinanga, “Yeukai” by Emmanuel Gumiremhete, “Best Friends” by Tsitsi Madondo and “The Date” by Tinashe Ziswa.

“Yeukai” is about a girl named Yeukai who is first raped by her boyfriend and then her neighbour — who employs her on the same day.

“The Date” explores various issues that transpire in relationships like the challenges and benefits involved.

“In Short Season 3” is a film     project that started last year and it is a platform for talented Zimbabwean filmmakers to shoot and showcase their short films in one month.

The aim of the project is to enhance creativity with available resources for each project (film) and producing high quality films in Zimbabwe.

The project was founded by Invision Studios, a group of creative individuals with the vision of making it a short film festival which will take place in August.
