CARL Joshua Ncube’s performance at Horizon Pub and Grill in Bulawayo on Friday night marked the end of his “Feel Good Zimbabwe” tour after traversing the country in a journey that saw him hitting over 15 cities and towns in the last two months. The just-ended tour took him to towns and cities including Norton, Kadoma, Gweru, Hwange, Victoria Falls, Domboshava, Kariba, Karoi, Bindura, Mutare, Chimanimani and Masvingo.

Speaking to Chronicle Showbiz after a classy performance, Carl said being on the road has afforded him the opportunity to perform his new material.
“Being on the road has been a good experience for me and my crew. We have had the opportunity to take comedy to some places where they had not seen it before in their local venues.

“I have been doing some of my new material specifically meant for the tour and this experience has inspired me to create new content,” he said.
Ncube, who scooped the National Arts Merit Award (Nama) two years ago, kicked off his show in the capital alongside Nqobizita “Q the Boss” Siziba who has been opening the stage for him.

On Friday, the stage was opened by two up-and-coming and local comedians, the lanky Long John and the hilarious Orlando The General.
Long John bravely stepped on the stage to open the show and did well as he got the audience ready for an interesting set before he gave way to the hilarious Orlando The General who set the venue ablaze with his hilarious jokes.

Carl came onto the stage amid jeers and whistles from the audience.
“Thank you for making Feel Good Zimbabwe possible. It’s you, my fans who have supported me all the way and for that I’m grateful,” he said.
Ncube, however, left everyone who attended the show giggling as he took a swipe at languages in Zimbabwe and how funny they have changed.

Ncube, the rib-cracker, is also among the cream of local comedians who have helped change the face of the local showbiz. He is set to tour the United Kingdom in October and Australia in November before capping off an eventful year in Canada in December.
