Commander Defence Forces Golf Day tees off

BORROWDALE Brooke will be a hive of activity today when the third edition of the Commander Defence Forces annual fundraising golf day this morning.

The event is held to raise funds for Musha Mukadzi Trust and this year funds are expected to buy cancer treating equipment.

This year’s event will have General Davis Mwamuyanga of Tanzania as the guest of honour and there will be efforts to $2,5 million.

The fund-raising golf tournament and dinner are an annual event hosted by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces Commander Constantine Chiwenga.

Proceeds from the occasion are aimed at benefiting Musha Mukadzi Armed Forces Foundation — an organisation that specialises in several charitable activities.

The funds raised this year will be channelled through to cancer prevention and awareness campaigns, as well as assisting those affected by cancer.

The event has attracted a full field and will tee off at 7:30am this morning.

Meanwhile, Danhiko will also hold their fundraising Golf Day at Chapman this coming Friday.

The event is expected to be made an annual event.
