COMMANDO Bullets will be hoping to continue with their fine run when they clash against fellow army side Seven Flames at Commando this afternoon in the World Navi Northern Region Division One Soccer League.Commando are enjoying a good run in this last half of the season and they face Seven Flames in a tricky encounter at their home ground.

Both teams are searching for a full set of points with the hosts hoping to meet their target of finishing the season in the top four while Seven Flames want to navigate their way from the relegation zone.

Their team manager, John Mandaza, said they were excited about today’s game and they were looking forward to a victory.

“We are both uniformed forces so it will be a tough match. Why I say this is because this team has got players from Rhinos and we also have players from Rhinos. I think it’s going to be a difficult game but my players are going to collect maximum points. At the moment we are getting something from Gtel, since that game against Twalumba, the man-of-the-match is getting something from them and it’s a morale booster for the players.

“So the guys are geared up and they are playing well. I am trying to inspire these guys to end the league in the top four so we have prepared well for them,” said Mandaza.

Commando drew their last match against Twalumba and a win will increase their chances of achieving their goal at the end of the season.

However, it’s not going to be a stroll in the park as Seven Flames assistant coach, Gift Muzire, said they were in need of maximum points to move to a safer zone.

“The boys are ready for the game. We lost our last game against DStv but everyone is now prepared. The position, which we are on, we are not happy with it so we want to win. The boys are all fit we have got no injuries. It’s not an expectation but definitely we are going to win this game, the boys have promised to win,” said Muzire.

Muzire said they will also be welcoming back midfielders James Phiri and Vincent Mhandu as well as striker Elisha Shambare who missed Wednesday’s game due to injuries.

“They are all back and yesterday we had a meeting with our players to say we need to win our next three to four matches so that we jump from relegation. If we lose one game we are going to sink,” said Muzire.

In other matches to be played today, Lake Harvest lock horns with youthful side, Twalumba, at Chaminuka in Kariba.

Today: Flame v ZRP Morris  (Chikurubi), Mushowani v Karoi (Chaminuka/Madziva), Blue Swallows v Gunners (Manyame), Commando v Seven Flames (Commando), Lake Harvest v Twalumba (Chaminuka)
Starbill v Bindura (Rufaro), ZRP Football Club v Ngezi Platinum (Morris), Chegutu Pirates v DC Academy (Chakari).
