IT has been less than 24 hours since Highlanders chief executive officer and retired referee Sihlangu Dlodlo was found dead at home and condolences continue to pour in.
Dlodlo was found at his Nketa 9 house on 28 October after not being seen since Saturday afternoon when he participated in a brief function at Highlanders Club House.
Club secretary Morgan Dube said he last communicated with Dlodlo via a WhatsApp message at 2155 hours on Saturday night.
Highlanders chairman Kenneth Mhlophe on Monday was in a state of shock: “Our organisation is mourning the loss of an exceptional leader, colleague and friend. As such, Highlanders extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, loved ones and all those affected by his heart-wrenching news.”
Former Bulawayo Deputy Mayor Gift Banda, a football administrator who also enjoyed a good working relationship with the departed Dlodlo said the City of Kings and Queens has lost another brilliant individual.
Sports, Arts, Business and Educational institutions who were inspired by Dlodlo- a larger-than-life character who was always jovial- continue sending condolences.
