Chronicle EditorLONDON. — Antonio Conte has hit out at suggestions that Chelsea could be docked points after their brawl at Manchester City, calling it “a joke”.Conte saw Chelsea regain their place at the top of the English Premier League as Diego Costa’s brilliant late goal earned them a 1-0 win over West Brom on Sunday.
But the gloss was taken off the win with the possible prospect of Chelsea being hit with a points deduction after they and Manchester City were hit by charges of failing to control their players following the brawl between the teams at the Etihad last week.
It was the fifth time in 19 months that Chelsea have been hit with such a charge but the Chelsea manager was incredulous at suggestions points could be lost.
