National police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Oliver Mandipaka yesterday said they were still looking for the suspects as investigations on the case continued.
“The two suspects have not yet been arrested and we are still pursuing them. Their whereabouts are still not known and we are appealing to anyone with information leading to their arrest to contact any nearest police station,” he said.
One the three brothers, Elson was arrested last week in connection with the Kwekwe murder.
Elson Masendeke was arrested in Rimuka suburb, Kadoma last Tuesday where he had gone into hiding.
The trio’s brother, Edgar Edmund Masendeke was executed in 2004 after committing various crimes, including murder and escaping from Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison.
Acting Midlands provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko yesterday confirmed the incident.
The murder case occurred at Mbizo 4 business centre in Kwekwe on March 29, following a misunderstanding at a beer drink at about 3am in which Jonathan Mpofu (20) died on the spot after being assaulted by the three.
On the day, Mpofu was drinking beer in the same nightclub with the three. Mpofu was later accused by Ernest of stepping on his foot resulting in a misunderstanding between the two.
