Couple in maintenance wrangle

FAILURE to solve their financial problems amicably led a couple to drag each other to court with the wife demanding $300 as maintenance for their two children. Appearing before Mutare magistrate Mr Langton Mukwengi, Brenda Matenga approached the courts praying for maintenance saying her husband, Solomon Matenga, was being negligent despite earning over $2 000 per month.

“I need $300 maintenance for our two children. This man earns more than $2 000 every month and $300 is not much. He is the managing director of a panel-beating company we formed together when we were still in good books,” she said.
