JUST IN: Clothes thief beaten to death

A MAN has been arrested for beating up a man to death after accusing him of stealing his clothes.

Police in their twitter page confirmed the incident which occurred in Gweru on August 25.

“Police in Gweru arrested Andrew Muvhimi (29) in connection with a murder case which occurred on 25 August at Insukamini vegetable market. The victim, Thokozani Sibanda (25), died upon admission at Makepesi Clinic after a fist fight with the suspect. The suspect had accused the victim of stealing his clothes.

“Meanwhile, police in Esigodini are investigating a murder case in which the victim Millias Ncube (70) died on 27 August upon admission at United Bulawayo Hospital. The suspect, Chelesani Mpofu (42) assaulted the victim after an argument over the suspect’s girlfriend,” said the police.

In another incident, police in Bulawayo are investigating a case of concealment of birth which occurred on August 22 in Nkulumane. The suspect aged 18 years old gave birth to a still born baby and disposed the body in a sewage stream near a shopping centre.
