Cranborne aim to improve

CRANBORNE Bullets coach, Nesbert Saruchera, believes his squad can improve immensely in the upcoming season.

The club has so far lost three players to other PSL teams.

Jarrison Selemani joined champions FC Platinum, while the duo of Douglas Mbewe and Kelvin Chiripawako switched to Black Rhinos.

Bullets are in camp and haven’t announced any new signings. They are still assessing a number of players.

“We have a very young squad which I believe is improving. Considering that most of them gained experience last year, I expect them to do better in the upcoming season,” said Saruchera.

He believes fans in Rusape have become an integral part of the team and they will work hard to give them entertaining football.

“We expect to play beautiful football this season. It’s an identity that we gave ourselves to our fans in Rusape.

“The fans are playing an important role in our existence and we want to appreciate and repay them by playing well. The best way to appreciate them is to continue playing entertaining football such that we give them value for their money.

“We want them to keep supporting us in numbers and for that to be achieved we have to be entertaining,” he said.

Saruchera said the club is assessing new prospects and as soon as they tie them down, they will unveil the new additions.

“We are approaching the second week of training. We have started slowly and are assessing our players’ fitness levels. The players underwent medicals in the first week and we are increasing the intensity day by day.

“We are assessing about 35 players in camp. Some of our guys who had gone for military training are now back and are part of the squad in camp. Prince Mutasa and Slvester Munhira are among the guys who returned from military training and it’s a major boost to us,” he said.
