Cristiano Ronaldo trolls Diego Lopez over hairline

CRISTIANO Ronaldo was a cheeky chappy in the tunnel at the Bernabeu as the Real Madrid star made a sly dig towards Diego Lopez.

Lopez (35) is former teammate of Ronaldo and as Espanyol lined up against Los Blancos the Portugal international had a pop at his old friend’s hairline.

Ronaldo reportedly said: “Wow, Diego, you’ve had like 3600 hairs put in,” referencing to the shot stopper’s receding hairline.

After their brief catch up, Madrid striker Alvaro Morata informed Ronaldo their amusing encounter was caught on camera – which led to even funnier response.

The 32-year-old quickly glanced directly to the camera and quickly put his head in his hands before revealing an embarrassed smirk on his face.

Ronaldo continued to have the last laugh as Zinedine Zidane’s side ran out as 2-0 winners.

The stand-out story from the victory was that Gareth Bale scored on his return after being out for three-months on the sidelines.

The Welshman replaced Alvaro Morata in the 71st minute to score with seven minutes remaining of normal time.

Bale (27) crashed the ball into the far bottom corner – showing no signs of rustiness – as his goal added to Morata’s first half opener.

Lopez and Ronaldo were teammates at Madrid from 2013 to 2014 – with the pair winning the Champions League together.

This stint at the Bernabeu was the keeper’s second spell at Madrid.

Lopez moved to Madrid when he was 19 and worked his way into the first team in the space of five years, after progressing through their C and B teams.

He then left Madrid in 2007 to join Villarreal, before joining Sevilla, and he returned after five years away from Los Blancos. – Online.
