In Bulawayo, Cocktail Wednesdays have been a hit at Cubana Cigar Lounge, as the entertainment joint has managed to maintain a classy standard in making sure that revellers enjoy mid-week.
Because of its consistency, on Wednesdays the joint became officially preserved for ladies because Cubana and its back-door sibling Havana understand the social and work pressures that women go through every day.
The famous Wednesdays help women to kick back and unwind over cocktails that will be slashed to a half price (US$2,50 per cocktail). The cocktails specially have seen Cubana being the place to be for the past seven years, on each and every Wednesday, allowing the joint to stand the test of time.
Sky, who is the marketing consultant for Cubana, said the night spot has always dedicated itself in providing top class entertainment to its patrons, be it local or the diaspora as well as tourists.
“The concept of this night (Cocktail Wednesdays) was built up over so many years into what I’ll arguably call the best place to be during the week. Ladies appreciate our cocktails specials as they are used to it because the concept has been running for seven years and with time, it just got better and better.
“We always thrive to maintain our best standard in the local showbiz and leisure industry and we have proven to be doing well as we manage to attract clients always, a sign that they are loyal to us and we take pride in ourselves in always giving them what they want to consume, which is great food, drinks and entertainment,” said Sky.
Cubana is not only famous for their Wednesday cocktail promotion, they also run differently, especially on different days of the week. Remember, this is a place where the “who is who” of Bulawayo, be it in business, academia, showbiz and sports meet, so there is a need to balance different offers to all these people.
On Tuesdays, one can chill at Cubana anytime from 12pm as the joint will be running a special on quarter chicken and chills which come in different marinated flavours as preferred by the customer for only US$4.
On Thursdays, the night will belong to the big boys in town as they gather at the joint and enjoy the expensive Whiskey and a puff of cigar as the night is themed “Whiskey and Cigar.”
On Friday and the weekends, fun continues with different specials on selected drinks be it whiskey, gin, local beers and ciders, so as to make sure that patrons have a splendid time enjoying their preferred services.
“We are a unique joint in Bulawayo and we have trained staff who understand well the preferences of our clients, something that has kept us going for years. The venue is also conducive for adult birthday celebrations as well as photoshoots as Cubana and Havana have classy finishes,” said Sky.
Cubana and Havana are located along Robert Mugabe Way between 10th and 11th Avenue, in Bulawayo.
