PRESIDENT Mnangagwa will today cap 3 545 graduates at Chinhoyi University of Technology’s 20th graduation ceremony.

Last year, 3 480 graduated at the university.

CUT’s director of communication and marketing Mr Shadreck Nembaware said yesterday that an accumulative total of 3 545 will be capped by President Mnangagwa, who is also the Chancellor of all State Universities.

All graduates, their parents or guardians and invited guests should be seated by 8am. The university, which is rallying behind President Mnangagwa’s call for students to help build the nation through solutions, seeks to address the challenges that are faced by Zimbabwe.

This year’s graduation runs under the theme: “Innovating for sustainable growth towards industrialised Zimbabwe.” Mr Nembaware said the theme speaks to the call by President Mnangagwa for institutions to proffer solutions to Zimbabwe’s challenges.

As a new norm brought by the coming in of Covid-19 pandemic four years ago the ceremony will be broadcast live on national television, ZBCTV, CUT’s website and Facebook page.
