The deferment of the sitting of the House of Assembly followed the nullification of Mr Moyo’s election which meant the House had no presiding officer and could not carry out its business as required by law.
In his notice, Mr Tshuma accused Mr Zvoma of ignoring Attorney-General Mr Johannes Tomana’s advice on the status of Matobo North constituency following the nullification of the election of Speaker of the House, Mr Lovemore Moyo, by the Supreme Court.
Mr Moyo is also the MDC-T national chairman.
The Supreme Court nullified the 2008 election of Mr Moyo in March this year citing irregularities in the manner the election was conducted.
This followed a challenge by Tsholotsho North legislator Professor Jonathan Moyo that the ballot had not been conducted in secrecy as expected in a democracy.
Mr Zvoma, as the presiding officer, then denied Mr Moyo the chance to participate when the election was reconducted, arguing that he had relinquished the Matobo North seat when he contested for the Speaker’s position.
Mr Tomana had advised that Mr Moyo reverted to his position as MP for Matobo North following the Supreme Court ruling.
Mr Tshuma accused Mr Zvoma of undermining Mr Moyo’s authority through Press statements.
“Because of the above-mentioned, I will move that Mr Zvoma be dismissed from the service of Parliament forthwith,” Mr Tshuma said.
Mr Zvoma has in the past clashed with Mr Moyo over the administration of Parliament.
Mr Zvoma complained that Mr Moyo was arrogating powers to himself that were not vested in him by the constitution.
