BUDDING artiste, Admire Mupamhanga, popularly known in the music circles as Yuthman, has stormed the Zim Dancehall scene with a bang by releasing a 15-track album titled N’anga.
The album which will hit the street end of this week, was produced by DJ Tracker of Real Beats Entertainment in Sakubva.
Tracks carried on the album include, Chipondamoyo, Simbimbinndo, Misodzi, User busy, Water proof, Chembere, Chitofu , Auya uya
“I usually get most of my lyrics from dreams. I christened the album, N’anga because I am more like superhuman when it comes to composing powerful songs,” he said.
Yutman mooted his musical career in 2008 but started recording three years ago. He has so far recorded 30 songs including hit songs such as Kubhinya vana, Nerudo and Ashy X,Identity, Sister Vekusvondo and Kudhakwa all released in 2013.
Early this year he recorded two singles, Sugar Mummy and Tsano vangu. All these songs received fair airplay on the local radio stations. He said that his brother introduced him to the music industry.
“My brother is the one who introduced me to dancehall and to my first music producer DJ Cluckstar who also assisted as my music teacher. When I released Kubhinya vana I took a short break as I was not yet done with my school only to resume early this year.
The young chanter who has taken dancehall by storm was recently nominated best upcoming artist after putting up a five star performance on ZTV program Zimdancehall Show. He also said that he was greatly inspired by King Shaddy.
“As a dancehall artist im greatly inspired by King Shaddy, Nhubu Digital and Dr Abudja. I’m grateful to my promoter Douglas Zendera for all his support. In future I am looking forward to open my own studio and to use a live band during hows,” he said.
Yutman was born 21 years ago and did his primary education at John Cowie Primary School before enrolling at Nyashanu High for secondary education. He did his advanced education at Liebernburg High in Chivhu.
